Looking for a fun and educational program for your school? Look no further than Story + Craft! Our program offers a unique blend of storytelling, music and crafting that is sure to engage and inspire your students.

My husband and I developed a programme to combine storytelling, music and craft. We drew inspiration from the classic greek fables of Aesop. In tales like “The Tortoise and the Hare” and “The Lion and the Mouse” , animals interact with each other like humans would and the moral of the story is revealed at the very end. This is a fun way to convey moral meaning to children because fables are simple in nature and can be easily digested.

My husband, Dino Acconci, a professional song writer and singer - is trained in live performance. He has written five songs inspired by Aesop’s Fables.

After storytelling and singing, the children and I will get creative! We will use all kinds of recyclable materials such as egg cartons, cardboard and scrap paper to create our characters. Using recycled objects to craft things with is a fun way to teach kids about reusing and recycling.
