Bunny Decoration Bowl

This adorable decorative DIY clay bunny bowl is easy to make and your kids will love this project.

There are lots of things you can made with the air dry clay. It is the best medium for kids to play at home. The air dry clay is not food safe, and on the fragile side, but great for sculptures and decor purposes.

Materials :

Air Dry Clay

Acrylic craft paint – white and pink

Rolling pin

Wooden knife

Black Sharpie pen

Paintbrush

Bowls

Sandpaper

Water

Smooth surface (wooden board)

Roll out air dry clay onto a clean smooth surface like a wooden board. Roll in all direction to a circular shape and thickness of 1/4 inch.

Place bowl top side down on to clay. Cut around the edge of the bowl with a wooden knife. Lift clay gently off the wooden board.

Smooth edges with your finger by dipping your finger into the water bowl. Only need a few drops of water.

Cut out long oval shape out of the remainder of the clay you’ve rolled out. Cut it in half to create the two bunny ears. Place ears on top of the circle and gently push to create a good smooth seam. Apply water if you need.

Gently push down the clay into bowl until it touches the bottom and side. Smooth edges with your finger. Let clay dry overnight, up to a day until dry. Pop out the dried clay from the bowl and sand the edges with the sandpaper.

Paint the bowls however you’d like with acrylic craft paint. I painted the bunnies with white paint and pink cheeks. Then I used a Sharpie marker to make the eyes and mouth.

What other things will you make with air dry clay?
